AND I LEFT MY HEART IN NEW YORK
To celebrate the creation of a giant A3 size photo
book, this website aims at bringing its contents to life.
The site is a photo campaign about inspiring locations
and milestones in Manhattan. Having walked the
island from100th street through Battery Park, one
gets a sense of the place and the power it has
to captivate. I want to honor and remember that
milestone of a unique emotional, personal journey.
Haptic design is a core value of my creative output,
just like journeyman is the core value of my creative
input. When put together, a feeling is created.
It is no good if design is flat and merely functional.
It must also be sensorial and inspirational.
It must feel good.
Changzhi Advertising and Design may sell design,
but our core business is in creating emotion.

About apt. 1617, 481 8th ave, NY 10001
Dear visitor,
Welcome to apt 1617.
While interning over the Summer of 2009 in New York City, I lived at 481 8th Ave in apartment 1617.
No... it does not face the Empire State Building, but instead a crumbling brick wall. So I decided to take
abit of artistic liberty and make a rendering of how1617 would have looked like in my dreams. I invite you to
poke around the room and see my creative space and what inspires me. Take a look at the Post-it notes,
or click on the Mac or Ipod. Explore and find interesting things for yourself.
New York is an incredibly difficult city. It was brutal on me. It is the ultimate extremes of sheer capitalism and
poverty. It is exciting but intense, and the city thrives on those who are able to stay at the top of their game.
To me, New York is a symbol of those who have suceeded in what they do, by the very fact that they are able
to have a job that pays the rent. Everyone is a winner in their own right. The tenacity of the citizens of the city
have inspired me greatly to always question what I do, be true to myself, go deep, and push the bounderies of
what is close to my heart. Most importantly, never give up!
